Bon Appetit - Background tests

Here are a couple of background tests from a short Flash based animation a friend (David Ridges) and I have been working on over the past few weeks in our spare time.

It's a simple short story of a little girl's adventure to retrieve her stolen ice-cream from a hungry monster. The film is almost complete, just a few little sequences to go and then its ready for sound. More images will be added soon along with the finished animation.

Aztec.....doodle...thing...

This guy appeared from nowhere the other day. The design is not yet final. I was just messing around in photoshop and this happened, then I just plonked a texture over it. A little scenario is forming for him....slowly.

Cog boy

Here is a character I've been doodling alot lately, no back story as of yet, and no idea why hes got a cog shaped scar/tattoo... I'll iron out the finer details soon enough.
